The Missoula Ultimate Federation, or MUF, is the non-profit helping to shepherd the Missoula Ultimate community.  Dedicated to promoting the sport of Ultimate in all facets from youth to adult and recreational to tournament participation, MUF consists of an 8-person board and many volunteers. MUF Meets twice annually and board meetings are open to the public.

From MUF by-laws: This Corporation’s purpose is to promote the sport of Ultimate Frisbee and to educate individuals about the qualities and benefits of the sport. The Corporation’s goals include promoting the sport’s contributions to its community by offering venues for participation, a spring league, and other activities designed to strengthen ties and promote a healthy lifestyle for community members. The Corporation also seeks to promote interaction among citizens in a positive, community-building manner, to educate various groups about the benefits of participation in Ultimate Frisbee, and to otherwise contribute to the overall health of the Missoula area.

Current MUF projects include:  A joint project with the Missoula Strikers Association under the Missoula Parks & Recreation “Partners In Parks” program to provide playing field improvements at Playfair Park and a Middle School Ultimate introduction program by the Youth Ultimate committee.
