If you like Ultimate and the whole ultimate community here in Missoula, c’mon down. You get beer, MUFF gets philanthropic dollars to support our programs. Everybody wins!

Last Week of Spring League

Well, here we are, eight weeks later with one last night of spring league to go. This Monday, May 21st will be the last game of the season.
And we are going to celebrate this monumentous occasion in style. Yes, friends, we will have 6 games of sportdisc including the battle for the coveted title of Missoula’s Very Best 2012 Spring League Team. There will be two kegs, yes, two kegs, and we’ll even have one tapped by six. On top of that we’ll have a salmon barbeque with salmon most generously donated by Missoula’s own frisbee juggernauts, Skyla Sisco and Michael Faris. Grillled salmon, bread and salad provided. Show your love and bring a side dish or dessert to share. Love the earth too and bring a plate and a fork along with your keg cup.

On field 1 with a delayed start for maximum spectation we have Bootleg Mafia versus the stacked lineup of Snowblind in the Finals.
Field 2 Big old rematch here with Unabombers facing Loveboat. Loveboats only pool play loss and unabombers only pool play win were when these two teams last faced off.
Field 3 Douche Day’Or verse Red Hot Damn, two teams yet to play this season. Two teams that both want just one more W in the stat column.
Field 4 BoneSaw tooth verse the Violet Femmes, again two teams who haven’t faced each other yet
Field 5 With a quick change to round robin format in the beer pool, we have Pablo’s Jersey Chasers set to rock with Hucks n Throses.
Field 6 Fossil Fools verse Jesse James Bond. Fossil Fools just got a late season powerboost to their lineup and has one more chance to settle the score with the Suave British Gun Slinger.

Start those games early so you don’t miss a minute of finals or a drop of beer.

Fantastic Beginner’s Clinic

Wow, if last nights beginners clinic and pickup is any indication, this year’s Spring League and ensuing club play should be fantastic! Almost 50 players attended the clinic and pickup last night. A huge thanks to all the Spring League captains for helping out and getting the word out to their teams.

The teams have been drafted and we are but a mere ten days from the start of league, you should here from your captain shortly if you haven’t already. This year your spring league captains will be hosting a clinic at the Riverbowl, Wednesday the 28th, starting at 6pm (North end of 4th St., past The Bridge Pizza), or see the google map link at the bottom of the message.

Come on out and meet your captains, teammates and others, learn the basics of throwing, and offense and defense. This is a great refresher for players of all abilities so hope to see you there!

The rosters and game schedules are up on the web now too, check them out and get hungry for some sweet spring league action!
